What’s hypertension, we hear that term quite a bit, we also hear terms used to describe children who are “hyper” or hyper-active, but hypertension refers to higher than normal blood pressure and not hyper activity. This is not to state that those who are hyper-active don’t also have higher than normal blood pressure; they might or they may not. Having higher than normal or average blood pressure isn’t always bad; some people have slightly higher than normal blood pressure their whole lives.

Primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) is a rare disease affecting lung and heart. An increase in pulmonary artery pressure is caused due to the narrowing of the pulmonary blood vessels leading to restriction of pulmonary circulation, lesser gas exchange in the lungs and higher strain on the right ventricle concluding in the failure of the right ventricle.
